R:12 Christianity
Encountering Israel in the Old Testament times, one cannot do away with the sacrificial system in the big frame of their religious picture. Every time someone, or the people, sins – one needs to kill a sheep or pigeons to offer to God for the appeasement of His intended wrath. The animal is killed and placed on the altar to be burned; the smoke created by such is thought of as perfume in the nostrils of God. Propitiation is simply satisfying God by killing a scapegoat, substituting the death of an innocent beast instead of the sinner. In the end, ...

What's Up?
Let’s Check Ourselves
2 Tim 3:1-5 says “But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.”
It’s so easy for us to point our fingers to others when we read these verses. How quick it is for us to pass judgment on people we think befits the description mentioned above.
But have we ever stopped to take a serious look at ourselves? Sometimes, we are the ones described above! We who call ourselves, God’s children!
Far it be from us!
It is my prayer that we will all ask the Lord to teach us to number our days so that we may gain a heart of wisdom!
May you be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual
wisdom and understanding.
Have a God-filled week ahead of you!
